The Broad, a field-trip of inspiration.

I absolutely love everything about this museum.  The Broad is designed by world-renowned architectural firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Gensler, with two floors of gallery space.  Dubbed “the veil and the vault,” the museum’s design merges the two key components: public exhibition space and collection storage. Rather than relegate the storage to secondary status, the “vault,” plays a key role in shaping the museum experience from entry to exit.  the-broad_photo-by-iwan-baan-4
